Fifteen years after his birth, the FIB Heineken Benghazi International Festival changes ownership.

This was announced on Wednesday the organization in a brief statement. This stated that until now managers and founders of the successful musical event, the brothers Miguel and Jose Luis Moran, shy away from the direction of it and give the baton to the Irish entrepreneur Vince Power. This, in turn, will act as administrator of Mara world SA, the Spanish company that has so far completed the event with management in recent years, the entity VAMP.

Since the company specializes in musical events owned by Power joined the management of the IFFY, the rumors that the festival could pass into foreign hands sounded strongly among the press.

This is far and 1995 in which a twenty something brothers Moran, previously responsible for the Madrid concert hall Wonderland, surprised the town of Benghazi with a sign consisting of a little known Suede, The Chemical Brothers and The Stone Roses. Since then, the event has continued to collect followers, has expanded its capacity and duration and, in recent years, has sought new audiences beyond our borders, especially in the UK. Even eased their musical offerings to suit the newcomers.

In its latest edition, the number of foreign fibers already exceeded that of aion kinah and fertilizers were sold before the opening of doors.
