Three Chinese engineers and four Yemeni guards kidnapped in Yemen.

(Updates number of abductees and gives more details) Sana, May 16 .- At least three Chinese engineers and four Yemeni guards were kidnapped today in southern Yemen by tribesmen, sources told security services.

At first, local government sources said that two Chinese engineers were kidnapped and abducted them along with his bodyguards in the southern province of Shabwa, where they were intercepted by the kidnappers who, sto energy credits, fired into the air.

The security forces pointed out that the abduction occurred when the hostages were traveling along a road in the province and that the kidnappers have demanded the release of several members of the separatist movement in southern Yemen, arrested last week in exchange for putting in freedom.
